Asher’s lines for the play: “Come! Roust out your steers from the long chaparral, for the outfit is off to the K-5 corral.” (Confession: this mama had to google “chaparral.”)
“ ‘C’ is for the cowboy who brands the calves. ’D’ is for the deer running through the plains.”
“Some have blue eyes. Some have brown. No matter what our physical differences, we know that God has uniquely created each of us to glorify Him.”
As expected, he delivered all his lines and sang all the songs with GUSTO! He put that steel trap memory of his to good work and memorized an hours worth of script and songs.
We are very grateful to God for the wonderful year Asher had in school. Mrs. Hubbard made every day exciting for these kids, and she transformed a hesitant Asher into an excellent reader. Excited to see how he progresses in 1st grade–which is only 3 weeks away!
