During her birthday meal, Haven declared she was full. So once we had cleared the plates we gave her the option of opening gifts first or eating cupcakes. She jumped to her feet, pointed to her shirt and exclaimed: “I mustache you for some cupcakes!!!!” I tried to recreate the moment later for a picture, but Haven was uncooperative…

We also had a tea party with Haven’s inherited miniature tea set in her newly-redecorated room. The tea set belonged to my mother as a little girl, so we had a tea party in her honor. The menu: hot ham and cheese croissants, clementines, mocha chocolate chip muffins, and chai tea scones.
