Sporting a wreath of flowers from Istanbul and an arm tattoo from Turtle Cove. Even after repeated scrubbing, that blasted thing didn’t wash off for weeks.image

Besties again =)

That flood had one surprising benefit. We were stranded for the night at Grandma’s house and Haven was forced to sleep without her paci. Here she’s eating her celebratory ice cream the next day at Daily Scoop. (Daily “Coop” in Haven lingo) I threw away all her pacis soon after.

Out for a ride in the rain. It sounded fun to me though clearly the boys weren’t in love with the idea.image

And something we did not intend. Asher had a bad reaction to poison ivy. The last week of summer break, he broke out in a rash all over both legs. He had to take a round of steroids, anti-histamines and anti-itch drugs. He. did. not. sleep. for. three. days. Even now, he can hardly bare the sight of the pics, so I’ll just post one that shows a portion of the rash in its early form.

The weary caretakers.

A final pic of the boys hair before the annual Fall Shearing. Asher’s legs were still itching he tells me.

All in all a good summer. And God-willing, our last in Detroit.
